Text: Jude 1:8
Yet in the same way these dreamers also defiled the flesh , reject authority, and slander the glorious ones.

Jude goes on to describe the false teachers that he is warning people against. He describes these false teachers as dreamers. In what ways were they, dreamers? Probably they claimed spiritual vision as an excuse for their evil actions. These false teachers according to Jude defiled the flesh in the following ways; first, they reject the authority of Jesus just like the Israelites who rejected the authority of Moses in the wilderness. Second, they slander the glorious ones meaning that they rejected even the authority of the angels.

This is how bad the situation with the false teachers was and one would understand why Jude was compelled to address this situation immediately. Two takeaways for today are; 1. False teachers can also appeal to visions in their evil plots. 2. We should discern a godly vision from an evil one.
