Psalm 2:4

He who sits in the heavens laughs; the Lord has them in derision.

God´s throne is in heaven and nothing escapes His eye. While kings are plotting to rebel against Him, He sees everything even those things that happen under closed doors. He is like an eagle flying high in the skies and sees the prey playing on the ground. When God sees their plans the psalmist states that He laughs at their stupidity. Those are plans of ignorant and foolish people who do not understand the power of God.

No human effort can intimidate God and Isaiah 40:15 states that “nations are like a drop of water from a bucket…” The story of the tower of Babel is a classic example of how human plans can sometimes be futile. With His power, He can shake the whole world and in a second everything crumbles even our concrete structures. Therefore, their actions are laughable before God and it like trying to drain the entire ocean using a bucket. Two takeaways for today are: 1. No evil plan against God can succeed. 2. No plans can escape God´s eye.
